Bell Sleeves & Ruffles

I’ve mentioned in previous blog post how I love ruffles. I’ve loved ruffles since I was a baby (thank you mom for making all those clothes with ruffles). I’ve also loved bell sleeves, and can think of multiple outfits from when I was younger with bell sleeves, so it was a fitting theme for this week.

TUESDAYSeptember 5

I wore a new ruffle sleeve floral blouse I bought from SheIn. In addition to ruffles and bell sleeves, floral is also my best friend when it comes to fashion (well anything). Similar blouses can be found here, and here.

With my floral blouse, I wore a pair of green Rockstar jeans from Old Navy, to pull the green from the leaves in the floral print. I love the Rockstar jeans, and all the different colors that are available are perfect for a business casual setting (or for every day fun). Similar pants can be found here, and here.

My shoes are the same shoes as the previous two days, but the nude pair. I chose nude blocked heel sandals, with an ankle strap, that I purchased off Amazon.com. I first purchased these dusty pink sandals, loved them, so purchased black, and nude after. They are comfortable, within reason [don’t go for a 5 mile walk], and super affordable! Also free shipping if you have Amazon Prime!

For my jewelry, I decided to wear a pair of large Nickel and Suede earrings in Ballet Slipper Pink. Unfortunately, these particular earrings are not available at the moment. Check out all the leather earrings here. These earrings are so light weight, and are great for any occasion.

Lastly, to pull some of the darker hues in the floral, I chose a warm brown berry in Kylie Cosmetic’s lip kit in Kristen.

WEDNESDAYSeptember 6

Today I chose ruffles AND bell sleeves. I bought this long sleeve blouse from Amazon.com a few weeks back and couldn’t wait for cooler weather to wear it! Well September 2017 in Michigan has brought cooler weather (you never really know what you’ll get in Michigan). I’m not afraid to wear white after Labor Day , so decided to wear this bell sleeved, ruffled, blouse.

With my blouse, I chose to wear a pair of blush joggers from Old Navy I bought this past Spring. I love anything related to blush pink. Similar joggers can be found here, and here.

For my shoes, I chose a pair of nude flats from Target to go with my outfit. Similar nude flats can be found here, and here.

To match my pants, I went with a blush pink crossbody purse that I also bought from Amazon.com.

I chose my favorite lipstick – NYX’s liquid suede cream lipstick in soft-spoken.

Lastly, for my jewelry, I chose a matching pink earring. Nickel and Suede’s Rose Gold.

THURSDAYSeptember 7

I purchased this emerald green bell sleeve loose sweater from SheIn this past Spring. I love green items because it brings out the green in my hazel eyes. In addition to the color, I LOVED the bell sleeves. Similar sweaters can be found here, and here.

With this sweater, since it hits right below my waist, I chose black, high waisted, jeans from H&M. These black jeans are $14.99, just like my favorite regular jeans. Great price, and great quality.

For my shoes, I wore black booties from Target. Similar booties can be found here, and here.

For my purse, I chose my black, chain, crossbody from Old Navy. This purse can also be turned into a clutch, since the chain strap is removable. Similar purses can be found here, and here.

I kept my jewelry subtle and simple. I wore Nickel and Suede’s Antique Brass Gem Leather Earrings.

I chose a new lip stain I received in my FabFitFun box. This Manna Kadar nude pink lip color, in Lucky, is perfect, and I was thrilled to have it in my FabFitFun box! For info on FabFitFun, look here.

FRIDAYSeptember 8

I started my casual Friday look with a ruffle bell sleeved hi-lo top from Shop Fancy Free. My sister sent me the link to this top, since it obviously fits all my loves (ruffles, bell sleeves, comfortable, etc.). This top is currently sold out, but Shop Fancy Free often has restocks. Similar tops can be found here, and here.

With my top, I chose one of my favorite basic skinny jeans from H&M. These jeans are only $9.99, and are worth every penny spent on them.

For my shoes I paired neutral taupe booties, from Younkers, with my outfit. Similar booties can be found here, and here.

For my jewelry, I chose neutral earrings. Nickel and Suede’s Stone.

Lastly, I didn’t want a bright color with my outfit, so I chose a more neutral color in Kylie Cosmetic’s lip kit in Candy K.

Blasts From the Past

8.3.19

Busy, busy the last two weeks. Went tubing with friends down a river, got puppy cuddles, and ACCEPTED A NEW JOB! Also getting my workout and steps in. So, here is two weeks worth of outfits for you!

MONDAY July 22nd

If you haven’t noticed from my blog posts from over the past year, I AM OBSESSED with wide leg pants. I recently found these striped wide leg pants from H&M. I didn’t have any with these colors (blue and white), and they were comfy and looked cute, so I had to get them! Similar pants can be found here, and here.

For my top, I chose a white ruffle sleeve top that I tucked into my wide leg pants. I bought this top from SheIn. When I buy items on SheIn, I read reviews for sizing. Sizing can be wrong, so I will often size up if I am unsure. Similar tops can be found here, and here.

With my outfit, I wore a pair of brown sandals from DSW. Similar sandals can be found here, and here.

I used a brown clutch I got on clearance a few years ago. Similar clutches can be found here, and here.

I am in love with these new Nickel and Suede White Bloch Leather Earrings with Wood Post. When I got my Black Bloch’s, I was hoping for similar in white, and then wood posts came out with colors and I wanted a white and wood, and it happened the following month! Such a great neutral, and of course, so light weight!

For my clean lipstick, I am wearing Beautycounter’s Color Intense Lipstick in Backstage, a perfect beige pink nude.

TUESDAY July 23rd

When I initially bought this white, eyelet dress from Old Navy, I bought it online, never tried it on, etc. When I first tried it on, I liked it, wasn’t in love with the dress. I’ve worn the dress a few times since buying it, and I have gotten a ton of compliments. It is super comfortable, and I have gotten to a point where I really like the dress. I’ve paired it with a jean jacket the times that I have worn the dress. As much as I love my prints and patterns, there is also something nice about simplicity. Whether that is white, or black [I usually wear a lot of black], there is something refreshing about a simple outfit. Similar white dresses can be found here and here.

I bought this batwing sleeve sweater from Marshall’s this past winter. It is so comfortable, and perfect for a lazy day of working in my bed! I tied the bottom corner of my sweater to make it less baggy. Similar sweaters can be found here, and here.

With the outfit, I wore a pair of white canvas sneakers. I went with the sneakers for a comfort and casual look. Similar sneakers can be found here, and here.

I used a white crossbody from Charming Charlie’s. Similar handbags can be found here, and here.

These oval hoops are from boohoo. Similar earrings can be found here, and here.

I chose to pair a layered necklace(the bottom two necklaces) from Charming Charlie, with a custom handwritten necklace from Etsy. Similar layered necklaces can be found here.

For my clean lipstick, I am wearing Beautycounter’s Color Intense Lipstick in Backstage, a perfect beige pink nude.

WEDNESDAY July 24th

I am a huge fan of linen pants. I already had a pair of black, and wanted a more neutral color. I bought these beige linen pants from Amazon this past week. They are BEYOND comfortable.

I tucked in my Sovething Navy Black Puff Sleeve tee that I got during the Nordsrom Anniversary Sale.

I wore a pair of Rothy’s The Point in Black Solid. I have been wanting a pair of Rothy’s for a while and finally took the plunge. I felt I would be able to get a lot of use out of them while in the office, and they are machine washable! I did order a whole size up in The Point. I haven’t tried other styles yet, but am thoroughly enjoying The Point’s! If you would like $20 off, click here.

For my purse, I chose a black crossbody purse that I purchased from Marshall’s a few years ago. This has been a great purse, it is the perfect size, and black goes with [almost] anything! Similar purses can be found here, and here.

I wore a pair of thicker hoops from Target.

Layered necklaces are all the rage right now and have been for over a year (I mean my grandma always wore layered necklaces at least ever since I was born). I love the pendant layered necklaces, and when I came across these Target Chain Link with Coin Charms Layered Necklace I couldn’t pass them up.

For my clean lipstick, I am wearing Beautycounter’s Color Intense Lipstick in Backstage, a perfect beige pink nude.

THURSDAY July 25th

I wore this jean jacket that I have had for probably seven years, so my exact jean jacket is not available. My jean jacket that I am wearing is from American Eagle. A very similar jean jacket (cropped, color, style) is this Old Navy New Medium Authentic Denim Jacket. Jean jackets should be in everyone’s closet. I specifically like a cropped jean jacket because I am a fan of high waisted items, and I like the way it looks with dresses. I potentially want an oversized jean jacket, but have not made the plunge yet. Other similar jean jackets can be found here, and here.

I wore a red/coral striped lettuce edge baby tee from American Eagle.

While in Amsterdam I had the chance do do some shopping and decided on buying these white culottes from C&A. I had not brought anything like them, and knew that they would be perfect for Paris and Italy. It addition to a great addition for my trip to Europe, I can get a lot of use out of them for every day or work looks! Similar white culottes can be found here, and here.

For my shoes, I went with a pair of white sandals from Target. These sandals are sold through Target every year. I’ve had this pair for over five years now, but these are still out there to purchase! There is also many colors!

I also wore these large Nickel & Suede White Cork Leather Earrings.

For my clean lipstick, I am wearing Beautycounter’s Color Intense Lipstick in Backstage, a perfect beige pink nude.

I tied a knot at the bottom of my flowy green tank that is a few years old. Similar tanks can be found here, and here.

I did extensive research and trying on of sandals before my trip to Europe. I wanted a pair of ultra comfortable sandals that I would be able to walk around Europe in. These Sorel sandals one my five pair try on session. I did not do extensive walking in the other pairs, but tried them on to see if they were even comfortable enough within my home. They were completely worth it.

For my purse, I chose a black crossbody purse that I purchased from Marshall’s a few years ago. This has been a great purse, it is the perfect size, and black goes with [almost] anything! Similar purses can be found here, and here.

With this outfit, I wore a pair of Nickel & Suede cheetah cork gem earrings.

For my clean lipstick, I am wearing Beautycounter’s Color Intense Lipstick in Backstage, a perfect beige pink nude.

MONDAY July 29th

Today, I wore a floral bodysuit from AFRM. I purchased this bodysuit through Nordstrom, but is no longer available through Nordstrom. I did safety pin the bodysuit so the neckline was not so low for work. Similar bodysuit’s can be found here, and here.

I recently bought these Emmett Wide-Leg Crop Pants on sale from Madewell in Americana Red. Since my legs are on the shorter side I do plan to hem these a bit more for more of a crop look, but they are super comfortable, and VERY ON SALE! Similar pants can be found here, and here.

I wore a pair of nude loafers that I got from DSW. Similar loafers can be found here, and here.

With my outfit, I used a beige, almost blush pink, clutch from Amazon.com. It is quite big which will be able to hold a lot of items, and a chain for a crossbody.

For my clean lipstick, I am wearing Beautycounter’s Color Intense Lipstick in Backstage, a perfect beige pink nude.

For my clean lipstick, I am wearing Beautycounter’s Color Intense Lipstick in Backstage, a perfect beige pink nude.

WEDNESDAY July 31st

I started my casual Friday look with a ruffle bell sleeved hi-lo top from Shop Fancy Free two years ago. My sister sent me the link to this top, since it obviously fits all my loves (ruffles, bell sleeves, comfortable, etc.). I unfortunately just washed this by mistake and it is a dry clean only, so it shrunk! So sad! Similar tops can be found here, and here.

I wore a pair of $9.99 high waisted black jeans from H&M that are my favorite pair of jeans ever!

For my shoes I paired neutral taupe booties, from Younkers, with my outfit. Similar booties can be found here, and here.

These oval hoops are from boohoo. Similar earrings can be found here, and here.

For my clean lipstick, I am wearing Beautycounter’s Color Intense Lipstick in Backstage, a perfect beige pink nude.

THURSDAY August 1st

Under my jean jacket, I decided to pair a cream colored crop top, that I purchased from Amazon.com. Although the shirt says white in the description, it does have a slight yellow/cream tint to the shirt.

I chose a sleeveless army green vest from Target, that I purchased almost three years ago (really going with the old but still loved items this week) I love this vest, and have been extremely happy with the purchase! I’ve gotten so much use out of the vest. Similar vest can be found here, and here.

I wore Madewell’s Northside Vintage Black Tee. I have been looking a good tee to bring to Europe for a capsule wardrobe and decided on this tee. So soft and comfy! Obviously had to test them out prior to Europe. I have been wearing them in outfits and plan tees are great for packing on a carry on because they can be layered for multiple looks.

I tucked the front of my blouse into a pair of button-fly flare ankle jeans from Old Navy. Similar jeans can be found here, and here.

I chose black blocked heel sandals, with an ankle strap, that I purchased off Amazon.com, to match my outfit. They are comfortable, within reason [don’t go for a 5 mile walk], and super affordable! Also free shipping if you have Amazon Prime.

My clutch is from JustFab. I’m totally into this emerald green color right now, and will use this with multiple outfits. Similar clutches can be found here, and here.

I wore a pair of emerald suede earrings from Nickel & Suede. They were only available for a special sale, so are not for sale, but Nickel & Suede earrings can be found here.

F L O R A L

I love floral prints! This week I decided to chose five outfits with floral in them. I swear I could create weeks of floral outfits, but I of course love other patterns, and solids, so I kept it to just one week!

MONDAYAugust 7

I received this sleeveless blouse in my Stitch Fix order last summer. If you’re interested to learn more about Stitch Fix, go read my past blog! As soon as I saw this floral blouse, I knew I was going to keep it! It’s fun, bright, and perfect for summer! I am not normally a person to pick out hot pink items, but that is one of the benefits of Stitch Fix. Similar floral blouses can be found here, and here.

With my blouse, I chose to wear navy Pixie pants from Old Navy. Similar pants can be found here, and here.

Over my blouse, I chose to wear a cropped jean jacket. My jean jacket is from American Eagle from over 5 years ago. Similar jean jackets can be found here, and here.

With my outfit, I chose a pair of navy blue flats from Target. Similar flats can be found here, and here.

I chose Nickel and Suede’s medium leather earrings in Coral Mosaic. Unfortunately this color is no longer available, since it was seasonal. To check out Nickel and Suede’s leather earrings, look here.

Lastly, I chose a neutral color for my lipstick. Today I chose Kylie Cosmetics in Candy K.

TUESDAYAugust 8

I am in love with this outfit, I could not wait to wear it!

I purchased these wide leg, floral, palazzo pants from Target this past winter. These specific pants are no longer available, but similar pants can be found here, and here.

With my pants, I wore a short sleeve bell shaped sleeve blouse from Target I purchased last weekend. I love the sleeves, and will get a lot of use out of this blouse! Similar tops can be found here, and here.

In regards to accessories, I first chose a black clutch to go with my outfit. This black, chain, crossbody is from Old Navy. This purse can also be turned into a clutch, since the chain strap is removable. Similar purses can be found here, and here.

These black ball drop earrings are from Charming Charlie. They recently changed their reward system, and I was able to get these earrings for FREE!

Lastly, I chose a neutral color for my lipstick. Today I chose Kylie Cosmetics in Candy K.

WEDNESDAYAugust 8

I purchased this outfit this past March for my grandmother’s funeral. She loved her floral prints, and I knew I’d be able to wear it again.

I love that this outfit is a two piece. The skirt and top were separate purchases, so if you really loved the skirt, or the top, you could buy it. I liked the pair together, and felt I could also wear the skirt, or top with other pieces in my closet. The skirt, and top, is from Target. Similar two piece outfits can be found here, and here.

For my shoes, I chose black blocked heel sandals, with an ankle strap, that I purchased off Amazon.com. I first purchased these dusty pink sandals, loved them, so purchased black, and nude after. They are comfortable, within reason [don’t go for a 5 mile walk], and super affordable! Also free shipping if you have Amazon Prime!

For my last piece of jewelry, I chose a pair of gold drop earrings from Target. I loved the shape of these earrings, and are super affordable!

Lastly, I wore one of my favorite lipsticks, NYX’s liquid suede cream lipstick in soft-spoken.

THURSDAYAugust 9

I found this dress on Amazon back in March. The description states that this is a blouse/tunic, but for me was long enough to wear as a dress. There are buttons all along the front. To keep from my dress opening up on me I glued the buttons together.

I chose a pair of large dangling gold earrings from Premier Designs. For similar earrings, they can be found here, and here.

Lastly, I chose a pink shade for my lips. I chose a Clinique’s Chubby Stick Mouistorizing Lip Colour Bomb in Super Strawberry.

BONUS

I don’t know about you, but when I look cute, I feel G R E A T! Even when I’m working out, adding a cute outfit to the mix can help brighten my [maybe dreaded] workout! Whether it’s yoga, or getting jogging, add a little oomph to your workout outfit to make you feel great! To go along with my theme this week, my matching floral sports bra, and leggings are from Old Navy. The yoga mat that I use is from Gaiam. With a workout, you’ll want cold water, and this water bottle, from Target, will keep my drink cold for hours! Plus it’s super cute!
