Take Me Out to the Ballgame

Well, it was a beautiful, summer, day in good ol’ Michigan. I was able to go to a Detroit Tigers baseball game, on my favorite Tigers player’s birthday, JD Martinez. It was in the mid 70’s with a slight breeze, which was perfect for a baseball game. Since it is August, I was expecting sweating my booty off, and being dehydrated, this did not happen!

For my outfit, I, of course, wore my JD Martinez jersey, which I got online at Detroit Athletic Co. I wanted a jersey that looked authentic. JD’s full name is on the back of his jersey, so I had to get a jersey with his full name on it. There were a lot of online shops that just had Martinez on the back. That was not going to cut it for me. The jersey is over sized, so I did not want to button it up. I left the jersey open, and put a black crop top from Amazon.com with high waist jean, cutoff, shorts from Target. Similar shorts can be found here. I wore a pair of white, canvas, sneakers from Target with my outfit.

As for accessories, I wore my custom coordinate bar necklace I purchased from this Etsy shop.

I also wore three gold Alex and Ani bracelets, once of which was a Detroit Tigers charm. With the Alex and Ani bracelets, I wore a Detroit Tiger leather bracelet. A similar leather bracelet can be found here. I wore CZ diamond studs, and used a Jessica Simpson cross body, two tone, purse. Similar purses can be found here, and here. I wore my current favorite lipstick, NYX’s liquid suede cream lipstick in soft-spoken. I also wore a navy blue/gray adjustable baseball cap to finish my outfit.

I also made JD a sign for his birthday today! I am thoroughly impressed with how it came out. I looked throughout Pinterest for calligraphy ideas. This blog post helped me with the lettering details.
