It’s About Damn Time

Goodness, I have been so silent on the blog for quite a while. Over the past two years, during COVID, I’ve been learning to adjust to a new body, weight gain, and self image concerns (which I’ve had since I really can remember). Taking photos has been a challenge to my confidence, but in my head and heart, I’ve gained more acceptance. So hopefully I’ll be posting more often, as photo confidence grows!

Wedding Season

Summer is always the time of year for a plethora of weddings, and I kicked off June with the wedding of my dear friend, Kaitlyn, who I worked with a few years back. We lived just a minute walk away, until recently, and our friendship grew outside of work, once our program closed. Of course, same with a few other co-workers.

Wedding Guest Dress

I usually love a black or red statement dress, but I saw this fuchsia pleated dress on TikTok, and had to have it! It is from Eloquii, which carries sizes 14-28, such a great size range for mid-size women! I knew even before it got to me, that it was going to be a keeper!

Shoes

I wore a pair of nude block heels that I have had for years. They are from amazon, and have seen some better days, there is some wear, and dirt from a rainy wedding in 2021. But when you have an outside wedding, it sometimes is nice to keep those around.

Accessories

I kept my accessories simple, with a pair of rectangular gold hoops, and my Series 6 Apple Watch, with a rose gold band.
