Today, I took a dress worn predominately for the summer, and turned the dress into a cooler weather outfit.
The striped dress, that I used today, is from Stitch Fix. According to their website, Stitch Fix is “For busy women on the go, Stitch Fix is the personal styling service tailored to your taste, budget and lifestyle that helps you look and feel your best every day.” For more information on Stitch Fix, check out my past blog post, here.
I love this dress, and have been able to create so many looks (check out these past blog posts here, here). The dress is a cap sleeve, so during the summer, I am able to wear just the dress, without a jacket, or sweater. Today, however, as the cooler weather continues to creep into season, I decided to put a jean shirt over my dress, to give my outfit the feel of a shirt and skirt. My jean shirt is from Target, and similar jean or chambray shirts can be found here, and here. Similar dresses that could be used to create this combination can be found here, and here.
With this outfit, I chose to wear a statement necklace around my collared jean shirt. I paired this statement necklace with this collared shirt, because I am loving this kind of look right now. I think it looks sophisticated, and professional, while still stylish. I am disappointed I could not find this statement necklace online, but similar statement necklaces can be found here, and here.
For my other accessories, I chose cognac pieces to compliment the navy blue in my outfit. My purse is from Target, similar purses can be found here, and here. Also from Target, are my flats. Similar flats can be found here, and here.
Lastly, I chose my favorite lipstick right now, NYX’s Liquid Suede Cream Lipstick in ‘soft-spoken,’ to finish my look.
