If you follow any blogger on Instagram you will know about the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. IT IS EVERYWHERE. Last year I got a Nordstrom card because of the sale. With the card you get early access — which means I went a bit crazy on the checkout button.
I bought way more than what I’ll keep, and I bought various sizes to make sure that I have the proper size (a lot of these items will sell out quickly and if you need to exchange them, the size you need might not be in stock). I don’t have a Nordstrom store nearby, so I can’t try on in stores, so I’ll have to do them as they come. When I was buying I bought 1-2 items at a time to ensure I would get the size I wanted on the items I really wanted (and sometimes that means you still don’t get the size you want).
I am a medium or large in tops and pants. When in doubt I go up to a large, but with Nordstrom’s awesome return policy.
Below are the items that I have bought — I’ll do a try on session when I get them in of things I love and will keep!
Tops
I am returning the large, and as of now keeping the medium. I would say either could have worked, just depending how you like the fit.
I did not keep this – very see through! Medium is the size I liked though (out of medium or large).
I am keeping the medium in this top. Again, if you feel like you are between sizes, either might work. Everyone has a different preference in fit. I would say that if your a medium it is TTS, and probably same for large.
I did not end up keeping this cami. My medium canceled (this can happen with the sale with the amount of people buying at the same time), and only a large was sent. I’m sure I could have made it work, but I had a similar cami that I got from H&M and brought to Europe. My H&M cami is probably not as high quality, but for the meantime, I am good not have this.
I should have ordered a medium, and I feel it would have been TTS. At times with bodysuits I like to order a size up.
This blouse is super cute that could be utilized for work or going out. I like the fit of the medium better, but either could have worked.
Sweaters
This sweater I was looking forward to the most, and I LOVE IT! I would say I’m ultimately between sizes and the large fits great.
This cardigan is super cozy, but is very oversized. I have ordered a small (since this is a medium) in the gray because the black is old out. Mostly just to see if I like the size better.
Not even worth sharing a try on. It’s not good.
Wasn’t a huge fan of this wrap sweater. I felt that the wrap part of the sweater cut at an awkward spot.
I love this ivory color, and I loved oversized sweaters. I ordered a medium in the same sweater (in red though) to see if I like the fit better. This sweater is still quite pricey, so not sure if I’ll keep yet.
Pants
I ordered a medium and large. I felt the medium felt more TTS, but ultimately didn’t love these enough to keep.
I’ve only received the large petite right now. Didn’t enjoy the fit. I have three other sizes coming, so will report back on the other sizes.
Dresses
Unfortunately both the medium and large that I ordered were canceled!
Coats
This coat is LARGE, and not in a good oversized way. I wore a 10 (which is a normal size for me), but ordered the 3 smaller sizes just now to see if I even like to fit. From photos it looks great.
