6.13.20 – What Would’ve Been

What Would’ve Been

OUTFIT OPTION 1

I recently bought this floral jumpsuit from Loft. I had been eyeing it this entire quarantine. I loved the print, and I kept being drawn to it. Similar jumpsuits can be found here, and here.

Over my top I wore this jean jacket that I have had for probably seven years, so my exact jean jacket is not available. My jean jacket that I am wearing is from American Eagle. A very similar jean jacket (cropped, color, style) is this Old Navy cropped jean jacket. Jean jackets should be in everyone’s closet. I specifically like a cropped jean jacket because I am a fan of high waisted items, and I like the way it looks with dresses. I potentially want an oversized jean jacket, but have not made the plunge yet. Another similar jean jacket can be found here.

I wore a pair of black two piece slide sandals/open toe flats from Target. Similar sandals can be found here, and here.

I wore a pair of large knife edge hoop earrings from Target. Similar earrings can be found here, and here.

For my clean lipstick, I am wearing Beautycounter’s Color Intense Lipstick in Backstage, a perfect beige pink nude.

OUTFIT OPTION 2

I bought this Topshop daisy shirtdress from Nordstrom after Jess Keys posted about it. It is so comfortable and cute! Similar dresses can be found here, and here.

I wore a square neck, puff sleeve, floral blouse from H&M I bought recently. Similar blouses can be found here, and here.

I wore a new pair of Button Front High Waist Ankle Pants from Loft. Similar pants can be found here, and here.

I wore a pair of Rothy’s The Point in Black Solid. I have been wanting a pair of Rothy’s for a while and finally took the plunge. I felt I would be able to get a lot of use out of them while in the office, and they are machine washable! I did order a whole size up in The Point. I haven’t tried other styles yet, but am thoroughly enjoying The Point’s! If you would like $20 off, click here.

During the last week, as I mentioned before, I watched 13th, but I also watched When They See Us, both on Netflix. They were both very moving. 13th is a documentary, and hear from a lot of people regarding slavery, what it means now, what it meant back in the day. It had good information to keep in mind and think about. When They See Us is about the Central Park 5. I had heard of this case before, but I didn’t know much about it. It is a miniseries, so it is a few episodes, and they are very moving. Spoiler alert – THEY WERE INNOCENT – and watching the interrogation, their experience behind bars, how they were treated. It made me so mad and sad. I highly recommend watching it. Even if it makes you feel uncomfortable, because, really, it should. This next week I am planning to watch American Son.
